Physical Exam

Dogs and Cats: $50.00

  • All pets require a physical exam prior to proceeding with services at each home visit.

    • Exempt: scheduling nail trims and/or anal gland expression only (PE is highly recommended and can be added on for $50 during your appointment).

Why is a Physical Exam Required?

When it comes to our furry friends, it's important to prioritize their health and well-being. Regular physical exams for dogs and cats are an essential part of responsible pet ownership. These exams can help detect early signs of illness or disease, and allow for prompt treatment before conditions worsen. An exam also ensures that your pet is healthy enough and ready to receive vaccines.

During a physical exam, a veterinarian will check your pet's weight, temperature, heart rate, and breathing, as well as examine their eyes, ears, skin, mouth, and teeth, and palpate their abdomen to check for any abnormalities. They may also check for any signs of fleas, ticks, or other parasites. In addition, they may perform blood tests or other diagnostic procedures as needed and may recommend preventative measures such as vaccinations or parasite control. Overall, ensuring that your pet receives routine physical exams is a simple yet crucial way to help them stay healthy and happy for years to come. â€‹
